Guild Meeting Rescheduled for this Friday, September 16th.
Written by admin on September 14th, 2011The rescheduled Guild meeting will be this Friday, the 16th, at the Church. Anne was able to get that approved, thanks Anne!
I know rescheduling has inconvenienced everyone but after speaking with Happy and Laura last Friday morning it was decided to err on the side of caution and reschedule. We made the decision before noon so that we could get the word out and at that time they were calling for more rain in the evening. We updated Facebook, the website and I sent an email to every address I have. I asked people to spread the word but I’ve since learned that at least 5 people were not notified. We will discuss ways to better handle cancellations/changes during the meeting. If anyone has ideas, please bring them with you Friday.
I believe this meeting will be smaller because people had other obligations and can’t attend. If you are part of the Round Robin group please make arrangements with your group to trade off tops.
September Guild Meeting Postponed!!
Written by admin on September 9th, 2011Because of the flooding issues in our area, the September Guild meeting for tonight, Friday the 9th, is postponed until next week, Friday the 16th. Location will be announced as soon as we know where we’ll be meeting. In the meantime, continue bailing, stay safe, and enjoy the extra week to finish your projects.
August 27th Sit and Sew Canceled!
Written by admin on August 25th, 2011From our beloved leader:
Due to the Threat of Hurricane Irene it was decided that we needed to cancel Sit and Sew this weekend.
The Retreat Committee will want to check with Kathy and/or Julie to see if they want to get together Saturday morning.
The Crazy Quilt class will be rescheduled for September 17, 2011.
Without knowing Irene’s exact path and potential impact we want to make sure everyone has time to prepare their homes and hunker down to remain safe. I am praying it will pass without making too much of a fuss and that power will remain on in my home so I can sew.

Stay safe!
